Wingspan - Welcome (prod. by Thelonious)

One of my favorite rappers as of late has been Wingspan. He first appeared on the Charlie Hilton - Good Food mixtape. I remember loving his verse on the final song, Last Supper. After that he brought us a buzz single, Good Morning NY. He really showed the world his skills on that one. Today Wingspan brings us his intro off his upcoming EP, Down 2 Earth. Produced by Thelonious, he takes us through some things going on in his life. If you download one thing today, it should definitely be this. Down 2 Earth is slated to drop November 13th on hilkoo.com. I will also be posting it here as well. Be sure to check it out then.

P.S. Shoutout to Charlie Hilton for executive producing WingSpan's projects.

Ya Boy - I Put That On My Hood

Ya Boy drops a brief music video today for his new song "I Put That On My Hood." It hasn't been featured on a mixtape yet so I have no clue what its from. Shoutout to the whole West Coast. Don't forget to follow Ya Boy on twitter.

Ya Boy - I Put That On My Hood

Fred Durst - Halloween Freestyle

Fred Durst just dropped a Freestyle on his twitter for Halloween and its pretty dope. I can't wait for that new Limp Bizkit album. As of now its untitled but it's definitely coming out in 2010. I'll be sure to keep everyone updated.

Soulja Boy - Cortez x Paranormal Activity x Dat Piff

Today Soulja Boy decided to follow his Advocate, Gucci Mane, by releasing 3 mixtapes in one day. If you don't remember Gucci did the same a few weeks ago. Click here for all 3 Gucci Tapes. I really like Soulja Boys mixtapes. He says the cockiest and most ignorant shit. It makes for great comedy. The beats he chooses also go really ham on the bass. Shoutout to S.Beezy. Follow him on twitter if you already haven't.

Beanie Sigel- Average Cat (Jay-Z Diss)

Philly's own, Beanie Sigel finally breaks the silence on his relationship with Jay-Z on this new track. This is not a overnight temper tantrum from the broad street bully, this is years in the making... Beanie Sigel's last major album release entitled The Solution failed to gain much commercial success, from lack of promotion & video play from the first single featuring R. Kelly "All Of The Above" Rocafella / Def Jam is held responsible. Beanie Sigel's cage has been rattled and hes ready for war! this is more of a personal beef then anything, Beanie Sigel Questions Jay-Zs loyalty, by calling him out for not showing up once or even staying in contact with him over the years especially during the time, he was locked up. . .

Jay-Z - Empire State of Mind

The long awaited video is finally released. While its not mind blowing, It's still a great video. Alicia Keys is looking fine as ever and her powerful voice kills the chorus! This is one of my favorite joints off Blueprint 3, but can we please get a remix with Nas? I mean come on, he was originally supposed to appear on it, and the title is swacking (swagger jacking) a Nas classic (NY State of Mind).

Jay-Z - Empire State of Mind (feat. Alicia Keys)

Lil Flip - Da #1 Fly Boy

Here's a new video from a rapper who deserves another big hit. Yes I'm talking about the one and only Lil Flip. This video is off his album, Respect Me, in stores since September. I have not heard the album yet but after hearing this song, I'll probably check it out. A lot of people may say Flip hasn't been hot for a while, BUT that album he did last year with Young Noble, All Eyez On Us, was really good. So yeah, check the video out.

New Game Tracks

Apparently Game is dropping a new mixtape soon called, Red October. If it doesn't drop today or tomorrow the title won't make much sense but oh well. Here are those 3 tracks. The first track is "Big Money." It's either produced by Cool & Dre or Dr. Dre. On his twitter he said it was produced by Cool & Dre at first then he said later on it was produced by Dr. Dre so who really knows. I'll update this post when I find out. The other track, "Krazy," features Gucci and Timbo. It's basically the street single for R.E.D. Album. The third track is "Better Days features Static Major (R.I.P.) on the hook. This is hands down the best track.

Game - Big Money [prod. by Cool & Dre]
Game - Krazy (feat. Gucci Mane) [prod. by Timbaland]
Game - Better Days [prod. by Jim Jonsin]

All 3 Tracks in a .Rar

P.S. Also look out for The R.E.D. Files Vol. 2 coming soon.

neo edit: The cover says produced by Cool & Dre for Big Money. So that prettymuch confirms it.

Single of the Week #60

This weeks single is from Shwayze. They have a brand new album, Let It Beat, coming out on November 3rd. I got an advanced copy and from what I've heard its dope. I'll give you my final consensus on it once their new video comes out. I'll definitely be buying this. I bought their first album months after it came out because I had been sleeping on it until then. I love Shwayzes sound. Cisco Adler's vocals mix well with Shwayze's raps. Go support them this Tuesday!

50 Cent - Before I Self Destruct (Bonus Tracks)

As you may know, 50 Cent's new album, Before I Self Destruct, has leaked to the internet in its entirety. To me it's his best album since Get Rich or Die Trying. It's a very solid album. It's a shame its gotten pushed back so many times. As of now the album is scheduled to come out November 23rd but I'm sure it will get pushed up. For all those who downloaded the album make sure you go support 50 and buy it whenever it does come out. I'll be sure to update y'all on a new date when its available.

Here are 3 bonus tracks for Before I Self Destruct. "Get Up" and "I Get It In" were originally slated to appear on this album but failed to chart a worthy position on the Hot 100. Each song, except "Flight 187" was taken from their respective Promo CD's. "Flight 187" was taken from its original post on 2DopeBoyz.

BET 2009 Hip Hop Award Cyphers

Ok I promised you I would post them and here they are. To me Eminem and Buddens verses shit on any of the verses from last year. They both killed it. I also gotta give props to KRS-One for taking the lead in his cypher (TML believes it was Wale).

Nicki Minaj, Buckshot, Crown Royyal & Joe Budden

Wale, Nipsey Hussle, Gsan, KRS-One

Mos Def, Black Thought, Eminem

P.S. Here is an mp3 of the Cypher with Eminem.

Flo Rida - Touch Me

Here is Flo Rida's new video from his album, R.O.O.T.s, in stores since March. The intro of this video is pretty funny. "It seems Mr. Bigg has kidnapped Trina and is holding her hostage in his virtual mansion, she is being guarded by the adult friend finder girls." Is this the first rapper to ever link up with a Dating website?

Flo Rida - Touch Me

Music Video Weekly #64

This weeks single is from Kurupt's second album, Streetz is a Mutha. It's hailed as his best album, and while I'm not sure if it is, I do know that it certainly is better than his first. If you haven't heard the album it features Xzibit, Nate Dogg, Crooked I, Dr. Dre, and of course Snoop and Daz.

Courtesy of WSHH, Here's a 3 min preview of the making of Weezy's new mixtape, No Ceilings. Set to drop 10/31/2009, IMO Weezy's back!, go cop this when it's released- It's sure to be a BANGER!

P.S. Orlando Stand Up!

Onyx - Black Rock

Holy shit. This video came out of nowhere. This song is crazy. I hate myself for sleeping on it so long. The song is the title track off their upcoming album Black Rock. Fredro and Sticky both spaz on this track and the video most definitely backs up their grimey lyrics. If you don't watch this, you're missing out on the resurrection of the Mad Faces! If this song is any indication of their new album, then Onyx is back!

Onyx - Black Rock

"If hip hop is dead this must be Easter, I'm bout to take that t-pain shit and break a btich"

"Bust my nine like Shyne but get off like Diddy, Dre only signed Fiddy cause he couldnt get stickyyy"

Cormega - Journey

Here is a new video from Cormega's new cd, Born and Raised. The CD, in stores now, hails production from the legendary, DJ Premeir, Havoc, L.E.S, Pete Rock, The Large Professor, and Nottz. He collaborates with Havoc, Lil Fame, KRS-One, Big Daddy Kane, and many more. This is a unique album, with that classic production sound. It fits in with the 90's era of rap very well. This video is inspired by his album cover which is pretty cool if you ask me.

Cormega - Journey

Freeway - The Calm Before the Storm

Sorry about the delay. Most of y'all probably already have it but if you don't please check out the homie Freeway's new mixtape. Theres some hot shit on here. Basically the tape is full of miscellaneous cuts Freeway has been dropping here and there. Stay tuned for that Freelapse, coming soon!

Mr. Smilez - Give Me Tonight

Here is a new video off of the new Mr. Smilez mixtape, Songz About a Girl which comes out October 30th. He has a couple other videos from this mixtape out but this is the only one I really liked. I'm definitely looking foward to his mixtape though, cause its been a long ass time since I've heard anything from him. I used to be a huge Smilez and Southstar fan. I waited for their second album for years even though it still hasn't seen the light of day.

Mr. Smilez - Give Me Tonight

Follow Mr. Smilez on twitter for more information about the mixtape. In related news Southstar has a new mixtape coming out the 31st called, I'm Right Here. I'll be sure to post both of these mixtapes here when they come out.

Single of the Week #59

This weeks single is from Clipse's upcoming album, Til the Casket Drops. It features Cam'Ron and Pharell. Its really hot. They recently filmed a video for this that should be out soon. I'll definitely be sure to post it as soon as it drops.

Juicy J - Talkin Shit

Heres a brand new video Juicy J shot for his song "Talkin Shit." This song will be on the DJ Smalls & Juicy J - Cutthroat mixtape that drops October 31st. Definitely look out for that. Even though that three 6 mafia cd got pushed back to next year atleast we got a ton of decent shit from the HCP camp this year. They did hella mixtapes and both dropped solos. Plus we had Pat and Wyte solo albums. Crazy!

Freeway Talks Upcoming Projects

The Philadelphia Freezer has a lot of project coming out between now and January. The Beat Made Me Do It comes out November 6th. The Calm Before the Storm comes out tomorrow. Stimulus Package drops January 19th, and the Wordap affiliated Freelapse mixtape drops sometime in between all those. Freeway is keeping his name out there, you gotta love that.

Freeway Talks Upcoming Projects

Cory Gunz - Son of A Gun (MTV Trailer)

Okay fresh off the success of Wordaps, Cory Meets World, MTV decided to give Cory Gunz a reality show. Obviously i'm kidding it was probably due to the XXL cover and the 25 weeks of Rap Radars "Tuesdays with Cory". Cory is a good dude and a dope so this show is a good look. The trailer is ill.

Throwback Wednesday on a Thursday Pt. 4

Alright y'all I had a track I wanted to post yesterday but I couldn't find it and then I had to go into work. Well I finally found it so here it is. The song is from Field Mob and it features Cee-Lo and T.I. The song was originally on Field Mob's 2nd album, From the Roota to the Toota. This remix I'm posting is from DJ Greg Streets, Six O'Clock Vol. 1 mixtape. Field Mob spits their great verses but T.I. really shines on this. This song came out after T.I.'s first slept on album, I'm Serious. His sophmore album, Trap Muzik would come out a year later, solidifying his position as one of the best rappers in the south.

Music Video Weekly #63

This week's music video is from Fort Minor's album, The Rising Tied. This is hands down one of my favorite albums of all time. This album also introduced me to Styles of Beyond, who are now one of my favorite duo's in hip hop. If you haven't heard the cd you are definitely sleeping. If you need some convincing, Jay-Z executive produced the album. Here is the first single from that classic album. I don't think Fort minor has any plans for a new album at the moment, but I know there's another Linkin Park album in the works. Styles of Beyond are still working on their 3rd album, Reseda Beach.

Kanye West at VMA After Party

Recently (yesterday to be exact), some footage leaked of Kanye wildin' out at some VMA after party. Its crazy shit man. Dude seriously needs to rethink his addiction to alcohol. He's a great artist but damn he's been through some shit. This video is even crazier than what happened earlier on in the night.

88 Keys - Baggage Claim

Here lies two of my favorite things, LOST, and hip hop! New York based rapper 88 Keys has made a song dedicated to LOST. If your a fan of LOST, this song is definitely for you. 88 Keys portrays himself in this song as a survivor of flight 815 on the island looking for his lost bag. 88 Keys currently has an excellent album in stores called, The Death of Adam. And here is a prelude to the album he put out for free, known as Adam Case Files. LOST begins its 6th season early next year.

88 Keys - Baggage Claim

P.S. shoutout to 88 Keys for posting this on his blog.

Eminem - Taking the Ball

Here is that new Eminem track that will premier on the DJ Hero Renegade Edition CD that comes with the special edition of DJ Hero. This was a cut from Relapse. There a lot of mixed opinions on this but I really like it. It's not anything amazing but its still a good song. The chorus is one of its high points. DJ Hero comes out October 27th. I'm not really big into the music games (can't really stand guitar hero) so I doubt I'll be buying this game. But I do look forward to trying it out at Gamestop or something. BTW shoutout to Emil over at iEminem.com for hooking me up wit a CDQ version.

Single of the Week #58

This weeks single is from Hush's new album, The Open Book. It is available now from iTunes. A physical copy is also going to be released soon. Stay tuned to Wordap for info. This song is really great and so is the cd. It really blew me away. I didn't think he would be able to top Bulletproof with his rock rap sound but he did. Cadillac Dale is his lead singer on most of the songs and he's a great addition. Hush is no longer just a rappers name, its the name of him and his band! It's great to see him finally release this album after numerous setbacks. As I said earlier this week check out his unreleased demo here if you haven't heard from him. Also you can preview his whole cd before you buy by clicking here.

VH1 Hip Hop Honors 2009

Last night, VH1 had on their annual Hip Hop Honors. There were a lot of great performances but here are my three favorite.

Eminem, The Roots & Dj Jazy Jeff - Rock The Bells

Eminem and Black Thought performed for the first time last night. They are also scheduled to perform a cipher together at the 2009 BET Hip Hop Awards. I'm really glad they got Eminem to perform this LL Cool J song because Cool J was one of Eminem's favorite rappers growing up.

Ja Rule & Ashanti - Down For You/Always On Time

This was another performance I was definitely looking forward to. It was great to see Ja Rule and Ashanti reunite and share the stage. For the past few years they had been beefing. It's glad to know they could put their differences aside an perform 2 of their classics.

Onyx - Slam

I'll be honest with you, I didn't expect Onyx's performance to be good at all. To me Slam is one of their most overplayed songs and I would have preferred to hear another song from them. But I was all wrong. They killed it! They brought so much energy to the stage. It was almost like it was their first time performing it. Sticky was up on the freaking Speakers rapping! It was a very great performance.

Freddie Gibbs - Murda on my Mind

Here is a new music video from Indiana raised rapper Freddie Gibbs. The song including the intro to the video have a very eerie feel. This was one of my personal favorites off his mixtape, midwestgangstaboxframecadillacmuzik. If you haven't heard the mixtape, ThankMeLater posted it at the end of August when it droped. Click here.

Royce Da 5'9" - Count for Nothing

Royce released a music video today from his upcoming cd, Street Hop. It's really unique so check it out. I will say I've heard the album and its great. It's definitely worth your $9.99. This might be contender for one of my Top 5 of 2009, we'll see. But in the mean time mark your calendars for October 20th!

Royce Da 5'9" - Count for Nothing

Music Video Weekly #62

Today's music video is from the Tupac Resurrection soundtrack. This is one of my favorite soundtracks of all time. I loved every song on it. Anyone who says Eminem is a terrible producer needs to listen to this song, cause he killed it. The outro at the end with Biggie talking about Pac's death is awesome.

Tupac - Runnin' (Dying to Live) [feat. Notorious B.I.G.]

Ya Boy - Life I Lead (feat. Kill Butterfly)

Here is yet another video from Ya Boy's mixtape, Mohawks and Heavy Metal. While it's not his best mixtape, there are definitely a lot of great songs on there. Definitely check it out. His new album, The Facelift is supposed to come out sometime this year. You already know I'll be looking forward to that.

Hush - The Open Book

The other day I found out Hush's new album, The Open Book, was available on iTunes. I just now started listening to it. It's a great album. I can't really find any information about it being out, besides it being available for download. Apparently his CD release party is at St. Andrews Hall in Detroit on October 23rd. If you haven't heard anything from him I highly suggest you download his unreleased demo here and this song. He's a really good rapper, and on this cd he has a great band to back up his rock/rap sound. Here are the 2 videos for his new album.

Mixtape Monthly: September 2009

The mixtape of the Month for September 2009 was a close race between Willie The Kid - The Fly and Bobby Creekwater - The Day It All Made $ense. In the end I picked Bobby's. Both are good, but The Day It All Made $ense, is a lot more creative in my opinion. A lot of you might be thinking, Really Bobby Creek? Yes, he's really stepped his game up on his last 3 projects. Its really weird how both Bobby Creekwater and Stat Quo have released better mixtapes since leaving Shady Records. They must have been holding them back somehow. My favorite songs on this Mixtape are "2 Far Gone," "I Want It All," and "The Day I Got Dropped."

If you like the song show him some love and buy his single on itunes. Snoop Dogg Speaks on Game and Dre Photo

Ok all of y'all probably have seen that new photo of Game and Dre that was posted on twitter. If you haven't click here. Anyways Snoop dropped by Big Boys radio station earlier yesterday and talked about the infamous photo. I'm so glad they're working together again. This actually gives me a little hope for Detox now. Not only does he speak on Game working with Dre, he also speaks about Stat Quo working with him as well. This is very surprising to me seeing as he left the label in late 2008.

Stat's new album The Great Depression drops October 20th. The Game as you know is working on The R.E.D. Album. According to the wiki it's coming out in December, but realistically it will probably drop early next year. And Snoop's album, Malice n Wonderland, is scheduled to drop December 8th.

Cory Gunz - Shut em' Down

We're always arguing about who the best new emcees are. Shock always claims Charles Hamilton has the upperhand where me and ThankMeLater always are claiming Drake's next up. One artist we all agree is on though, is Cory Gunz. Here is a new video for his Heir to the Throne, Gangsta Grillz. I'm sure everyone who's anyone has checked that out. The real mixtape to check out though, is Cory Meets World. It features 23 tracks of hard pumping dope rap music (pause), all without those annoying DJ's. After hearing both of these tapes, I'm certain Cory has something dope to bring to hip hop. Also below is a bonus freestyle from way earlier on in the year. It features Gunz and Factz spazzing on BET's The Deal. Just found this on youtube. Peep it.

Throwback Wednesday

Kanye West- My Way

This is when Kanye was just a producer on The Roc, classic shit right here!!

"Y'all just talk about my dough
How I left Chicago
How I'm the only one eatin'
Shut your pie hole
And wanna figure out why I'm gettin' it high though
Why? 'Cause you need fire, and I'm a pyro
And you a parrot, you copy what I do and say?
Only difference between you and me, you were gay
Ahhhhh, did he get his feelin's hurt?
Nahhhh, he's got titties under his shirt"

KiD CuDi - I Get It In (Unreleased)

http://shakeytimes.files.wordpress.com/2009/04/kid-cudi.jpg

Damn, two unreleased tracks from two different artists both from the XXL Top Ten Freshman. Although CH's unreleased track seems like it was recorded in 2009 this Cudder track was recorded in 2007. I wasn't really feeling the song maybe you will. The style really isn't for me I prefer the music CuDi has been releasing the past year or so. His album "Man On The Moon" is in stores now.

Charles Hamilton - Rockin' That Pink (New/Unreleased)

http://nykotynethefuture.files.wordpress.com/2009/05/charles-hamilton.jpg

Some New/Unreleased music from Mr. Sonic. Its a different type of track compared to what we usually hear from Charles but he still expresses his love for the color pink and Rihanna (*sigh*). Its a entertaining song to say the least, so download it.

Music Video Weekly #61

I've been listening to a lot of DMX lately so here's one of the songs that has gotten me hyped in the past few days. I remember loving this song when it came out. It was huge on MTV and shit. This is off his 2003 album, Grand Champ, which he originally said would be his last album. Well since then he's brought us Year of the Dog...Again and has 2 more albums on the way. DMX has been in and out of jail a ton from 03-09 but he's out now. I hope he can finally set his life straight.

DMX - Where the Hood At?/Ayo Kato

"D to the M to the X, last I heard, y'all n!ggaz was having sex, with the same sex, I show no love to homo thugs, empty out reload and throw more slugs, how you gonna explain f#ckin a man, even if we squash the beef, I ain't touchin ya hand!"

Lloyd Bank$- Checks In...

Lloyd Bank$ AKA The Punch Line King AKA Boy Wonder AKA Blue Hefner checks in with the world and gives us an update on things. "PLK Volume 5" is on the way! When the new mixtape gets a release date I will bring back all the classics and unreleased gems to help count down till Its release....

Freeway - When I Rap

Here is a BRAND NEW track from Freeway. It just leaked a couple seconds ago. It's the second song to leak off of Freeways upcoming Eminem tribute, Freelapse. This is looking to be a hot album. This time Freeway spits over Eminems classic diss record, "Bully" off the Straight from the Lab Ep.

T.I. - Hell of a Life

Here is a new music video from the Jay-z of the South. "Hell of a Life" is from the scrapped Paper Trail: Case Closed album. If you live in the UK you can download the Paper Trail: Case Closed EP which contains this song plus "Remember Me." Otherwise I would advise you to download T.I.'s, A Year and A Day mixtape. This mixtape not only has both of the original singles for the re-release album but it also has a gang of other unreleased T.I. tracks.

Big Twins - Bacon & Cheese

First off, Big Twins new album, The Project Kid, is in stores now. It features production from the likes of Havoc, Jake One, and The Alchemist. It's definitely a dope listen. Go Cop that! Here is a new music video he put out to promote his album. It seems as though this video came out a bit late as he's saying the album is coming soon. Oh well it's still grimey nonetheless.

Single of the Week #56

Sorry I'm so late. Been busy and shit. This week's single is from Z-Ro's new mixtape, Cocaine. Not sure when it is dropping but I'll be sure to let y'all know when I find out. Z-Ro is probably one of my most slept on rappers. I didn't start listening to him until recently. I love his style.

XV - Fall Out The Sky

Here is a video from up and coming rapper XV to his song "Fall Out The Sky" off his new mixtape, Everybody's Nobody. XV is looking very promising and his mixtape is really dope so you should definitely check it out. He's also on one of my favorite compilations from new artists this year, Charlie Hilton Presents: Good Food. This video is really dope for an independent vid. A lot of you rappers need to step your camera game up or get better directors or some shit. Damn.
