Music Video Weekly # 34

Just checked my Last.fm. The most listened to artist this past week was Styles P. So shit why not include one of his dopest songs/videos. This song was a huge hit from his first album A Gangster and a Gentleman. His first album was great, save the annoying ass skits. I'm gonna venture out and say he's better than Jada. Jada has some great material, but to me Styles P is more consistent.

Styles P - I Get High

J.R. Writer - Make Da Trap Say Ay (Feat. Cam'Ron)

Woke up at 10am to find out J.R. Writer still hadn't leaked. So I figured I'd just go to Best Buy and Cop it. It was very worth it! Cinecrack is a great album, I've bumped it like 5x already. Anyways here's some crack I cooked up for y'all with JR and Cam's versions to "Make Da Trap Say Ay." As you already know, Cinecrack in stores!!! Go buy that!!

Slaughterhouse - Move On (Music Video)

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Slaughterhouse is the best thing to happen to hip hop in a while. These four MC's are sooo far above 99% of these other wack suckers in the game. Slaughterhouse is the reason Hip Hop is being kept alive. I really hope that these four people teaming up can make everyone step their game up and make hip hop more lyric oriented again. This music video is great. It's great to see one of the best hip hop groups of all time finally release a video. Padded Room is out! Go cop that! Royce's album, Street Hop is out July 7th, Go cop that! Crooked I's long awaited Debut, B.O.S.S. (Beginning of Something Serious) is leaking track by track as a free internet download. Go Download that!! Joell Ortiz is droping his mixtape the Pre-Agent soon, and later on this year, Free Agent. Go cop both of those! Hopefully the Slaughterhouse Record will be out by the end of this year. HIP HOP IS ALIVE SUCKERS!!!

Music Video Weekly # 33

This week's music video is Jim Jone's second single from his second album, Harlem: Dairy of a Summer. It has always been my favorite Jim Jones song. Trey Song kills the chorus, and it also is probably one of the best songs he's ever been featured in. This song has a great summer feel to it, so let the summer begin!

Mobb Deep - Creep (feat. 50 Cent) [Studio Footage]

Here is studio footage of 50 and Mobb Deep recording "Creep" from Mobb Deep's first G-unit album, Blood Money. I always loved this track. It's funny cause I was thinking about this cd and this song in particular earlier today while I was at work. Then I come home to find unreleased studio footage of this track! How Amazing! Free Prodigy already, damnit. HNIC2 was one of the craziest albums last year. I'm feinding for a new Mobb Deep album.

Music Video Weekly # 32

This week's video is from Outkast's second album ATLiens. I think its a lot better than their debut and they show so much progression. I've been listening to a lot of Outkast lately so I figured I'd post a video from one of my favorite songs from the past few days.

As you can see I totally changed the name of my blog. This name is way easier to remember and is way more catchy. I want to thank N-EIGHT for inspiring me to make this name change.

Single of the Week #27

This week's single is a Remix to a classic Nas track that dropped back in 1996. It's part of this Smirnoff Signature Mix thing. Apparently the dude gets people to remake classic songs. Anyways this is all new verses so don't sleep. Nas is just as good today as he was in 1996.

Music Video Weekly # 31

This week's music video is from Nas' first album Illmatic. It's always been my favorite song from the album. I recently bought the album so I figured I'd post a video from it. The album doesn't really need to be explained. If you haven't heard it, why are you even listening to rap?

Nas - Who's World Is This

My FYE Adventure.

As a huge Eminem fan (and self proclaimed Stan) I felt ashamed that the only album I ever bought of his were D12World and Encore. Both were wack edited versions too, cause my mom was overprotective lmao. Anyways my new goal is to get all of his albums. Next week I'll probably go to best buy and buy The Eminem Show and Encore. Then the week after that I'll go cop Devil's Night and D12 World. And I also gotta cop the 8 Mile OST sometime as well.

Anyways along with both of these Albums I copped Illmatic and Nastradamous because they were buy one get one free.

Here's a pic of all my albums.

Crooked I - Say Hi To The Bad Guy (Advance)

Recently a cd was sold to an individual that was believed to be Crooked I's second unreleased cd Say Hi To the Bad Guy. The guy who bought the cd was planning on selling it but in the end his demands were way to high to be met (He wanted 500 people to spend $35 on a cd). Another company (For The People Ent.) whom had some SH2TBG tracks for some time also decided they would put up a version of their cd for sale As soon as the other guy stated that he was going to keep the cd, they decided they would as well. It's a shame that all this bullshit had to go down and now we're stuck without 2 awesome cds. Anyways, out of these leaks came 7 unreleased tracks. I've included those 7 unreleased tracks in this advance as well as other tracks that were believed to have been for this album.

Single of the Week #26

The single of the week is a new song from Slaughterhouse (Joe Budden, Royce Da 5'9", Crooked I, & Joell Ortiz). It's really really dope. It's probably my favorite song they have done so far. Crooked I speaks on his recent rumors of being shot and lets everyone know he's fine. This group is one of the best things to happen to hiphop in years. You got 4 heavily underrated amazing artists working together and making great songs.

Music Video Weekly #30

This week's video is from Kanye West's first album The College Dropout. This album definitely goes down as a classic in my books. There are so many great memories of 9th grade that I associate with this album. I got to thank one of my Best Friends, Michael Cheek for putting me on to how great this cd was (Wish we both still liked Kanye West). I was a fan of "Through the Wire" when it came out but I wasn't really checking out for the album until my friend played it for me over the phone. I remember like a day later I went to the store and copped the album. Anyways the whole concept of this video being shot in first person is dope. Also Stacey Dash is fine as ever in the vid. It's very rare for a new artist to come out and become one of your favorite artists period. I recently saw his Story Tellers for VH1 and it was really good, definitely check that out when you get a chance.

Kanye West - All Falls Down

PS. thank you N-EIGHT for suggesting this great video.
