This is Bank's newest mixtape. Shoutout to N-EIGHT for putting in work and making almost all of this mixtape no dj. This is banks dopest tape since Top 5 Vol. 1. Do not sleep on this tape. Banks is spazzing out on this tape.

This weeks music video is from Royce Da 5'9's first album, Rock City. I think I might be the only one who prefers his first album over his second album. Anyways if you've been sleeping on Royce shame on you. He is one of the best rappers out there. Ever since I heard his verse on "Bad Meet's Evil" I knew he was something special. Anyways he's got his album Street Hop coming out in July so make sure to cop that. I without a doubt think it will be his best album yet.
Sorry about the lack of posts the past few days. There was nothing new that was worthy of a post to me. Anyways Here is a mixtape that didn't make my Mixtape Monthly post for January because I didn't discover it until later. This was probably my most bumped mixtape before Drake - So Far Gone. Nero is from New York and raps over classic 1990 hip hop beats on this mixtape. Don't sleep on this artist. To me he's one of the better artists on the come up, but a lot of people don't know who he is.

Here is a really cool video I found for Kanye West's song Robocop, from 808 and Heartbreaks. This is by far my favorite song on the album. This music video is really cool. I'm really digging the 8-Bit video game feel. I am an avid video gamer, and this is just so cool to me. I love video game themed music videos.

Ok the Single of the Week is coming a day early, cause honestly, nothing else that drops from now until then that comes out will be as dope as this. It seems like this is one of Eminem's new persona's. The shit he says is freaking psychotic!
I never got around to posting this to the blog. But here is the cover to Eminem's upcoming cd, Relapse. His new track "3 A.M." will appear on www.rapradar.com today at 3 P.M. Don't miss it. Of course it will also be posted here short after. I also added a countdown on the sidebar showing how long we have until Relapse comes out.

Ok this week's music video is from Ginuwine. The song appears on his fourth album, The Senior. This album spawned two pretty huge singles, "Hell Yeah" and "In Those Jeans." I was really feeling this dudes music. This was probably one of the first RNB artists that I really took notice to back in the day. It's a shame I haven't liked any of his singles since this cd. Baby's verse on this song isn't that bad actually, which may come as a surprise to recent Wayne fans.

Wordap, a couple nights ago I put up Drizzy's freestyle on Flex's show right? Well it was filled with Flex yelling and screaming and this and that. So I decided to chop and mix his ass out. This version is a lot better. I strongly suggest you download it.
Ok Shock has been pretty busy lately so I'm just gonna drop this weeks track. I've had this forever but I didn't really have any reason to post it cause it didn't fit any of my categories of features. Anyways this song is really dope. It's a StickyFingaz/Nelly collabo. Lol weird huh? If you remember Onyx and Nelly both shouted each other out on different songs.
Nelly:
"My grammar be's ebonics, gin tonic and chronic Fuck bionic it's ironic, slammin niggaz like Onyx" - Country Grammar
Fredro Starr of Onyx:
"Run ya change, it's not a threat, it's a promise I even got my St. Louis niggas, claimin' haters offa Onyx" - Slam Harder
Ram Squad - Ballers [Remix] (feat. Sticky Fingaz and Nelly)
This week's single is a new drop from Hot Rod's upcoming mixtape, Mixtapes Aren't Cool Vol. 0. He raps over the Lupe Fiasco song, "Coolest N*gga". It's been a while since some new Hot Rod has been out so its great to hear something new.
New Drizzy Drake for that ass (pause)...i've been putting on for Drizzy since forever...i'm the creator of the well known "Best Of Drizzy" incase you didn't already know...and if you don't have it, go download it like now...yeah like right now. Part 2 coming soon exclusively to Wordap. And don't forget to download the freestyle..Drake goes in.
Earlier last year I compiled an Eminem Freestyle Collection. I just now came across it again and decided to re-up it for the blog. This collection right here probably accounts for 95% of his freestyles. It's definitely worth checking out if you want to here how Eminem gets down on the mic of the top of the dome! Don't sleep on this massive collection (4 CD's) because there's hours worth or material here. 120 tracks in Total!

Recently I discovered this group's first album. It was one of those albums I always meant to check out but never did. I'm glad I finally got around to listening. Ever since then I've been constantly bumping it. They also have a dope mixtape out called Rich Girls. Anyways here is their new music video from their new cd that should be out sometime this summer. I can't wait. Be on the lookout for a tape I'm gonna put together with a bunch of songs I have by them that aren't on their album or mixtape.
This week's music video is from Common's album Be. Before tonight I had barely heard this album. I think I may have heard it like once before, maybe not even that. But I just started listening to it tonight and I love it. So I figured I'd post one of my favorite songs from the album. I remember the first time I saw this video back on Rap City. I always thought it was dope, and I always loved this song.
Common - The Corner (feat. Kanye West & The Last Poets)
Today I will air my first radio show for my blog Wordap. It will consist of a bunch of dope music. Show will air from 7pm to 2am EST. Please tune in. This week's single is a new leak off Rick Ross' upcoming album, Deeper than Rap. It features Kanye, T-Pain, and Lil Wanye. I'm really feeling the instrumental to this. It's on some jazzy type shit. Kanye kills his verse and Wayne holds it down.
Rick Ross - Maybach Music Pt. 2 (feat. T-pain, Kanye West, & Lil Wayne)

P.S. Bet you thought a stan like me would make Eminem's new single, my single of the week huh? I thought about it but I overloaded this blog with Em in the past few days lol. Anyways I already posted it on here when it first leaked.
The mixtape of march is Big Mike & Styles P - Phantom Empire. Styles P bring us exclusive freestyles and continues to show us why he is one of the kings of the Mixtape game. My favorite tracks are "Day & Night, " "Get Down," and "The People (feat. Jadakiss)." The whole mixtape is hot though.

Ok so I got another new member. His name is N-EIGHT. You may know him from AKANEIGHT. He's gonna be posting some new artist spotlights. He also may be posting in other sections from time to time. WORDAP bout to take over! Appreciate the grind!
Here is Eminem's first album, Infinite. It was only released on Vinyl and Cassette back in 1995 and 1996 in Detroit. It was never officially released on CD. It sold around like 300 copies back when Eminem was no where near the household name he is today. This album is actually really good and you may find it to be reminiscent of Nas' first album Illmatic. A lot of the production and the way Eminem raps is similar. This rip was done by a dude's friend from Rapbasement. The quality is by far the best I've heard of all the different rips. A lot of the rips are actually just ripped from bootleg cd-r's which makes the quality even worse. This was ripped from one of the original Vinyl's. Shout out to Sniper and Baron, the original uploaders of this rip. Also shoutout to 8thBass for your CD cover design. Various untagged artwork relating to this album is included in the .rar. I wasn't able to get the full untagged cassette booklet, but I promise I'll upload it, if and when I get it.

The Eminem Invasion is finally here! Here is his new video for his new single, "We Made You", from his upcoming album, Relapse slated to drop May 19th! If you were a fan of the "Without Me" video you will like this a lot, as its very similar. I stayed up till 6 am this morning just to see it when it first aired on MTV, and it was pretty much worth it.
P.S. Eminem - Infinite is coming soon as well as The Slim Shady EP, and The Day After Relapse (Special Edition Re-Release).
This week's video is a song from 50 Cent's album, Get Rich or Die Trying. This is hands down the best song from the album and one of 50's best videos of all time. In ways its kinda resembles his movie, Get Rich or Die Trying. Plus Mekhi Phifer is in it!
What can I say? The song was nothing that I hoped for but I guess its typical for Eminem's first single. Everyone who was saying "Crack a Bottle" was bad though needs to seriously rethink. Oh well, plays 100x!

Sorry about the delay these reviews take forever and I've been so busy with work and school. Anyways here's the fourth reivew for Top 5 of 2008. The album I'm reviewing is Atmosphere - When Life Gives You Lemons You Paint That Shit Gold. First off let me say all the beats on the cd are great, there's not a beat I don't like. Ant was on point with his beats! The album as a whole is very decent. Only reason I heard this cd is because I kept seeing it promoted and praised everywhere through myspace and forums and I figured I would give it a try. I was so glad I did. Anyways on to the review...
1. Like The Rest of Us
This track is about being stuck in your ways. Being stuck working a 9-5 or whatever you gotta do to support your family.
"See I've been here for thirty-some years Lookin' at myself in the same dirty mirror So it ain't like I don't comprehend Open that bottle, swallow that friend"
8/10
2.Puppets
This track has Slug talking about a guy who lives a rockstar life but never quite makes it.
"i think its great how you used to be great i cant hate on how you choose to relate but i know that you had the potential i understand why you wanted to let go a lot of pressure in the middle of those shoulders and we aint gettin nothin but older"
8.5/10.
3.The Skinny
At the beginning of the track Slug says "This is for all those tricks and hos." It pretty much sums up what this song is about. Slug goes into detail about what people think about these "tricks and hos"
"He don't care about your stats or background He ain't picky once he puts his mac down Make you suck it all the way to the ass now Cause all of y'all heiffers are cash cows"
8.5/10
4.Dreamer
This song is about a Teenage girl that gets pregnant from her boyfriend that only wanted her virginity. Really great song and really great storytelling.
"She got a condition of the heart A heart condition So as a kid she had to adapt to smarter living Not much room to rebel because of health No drugs, no booze, just kiss and tell Well known on the scene Jailbait queen Had the first baby barely eighteen Father of the child was after one thing When the daughter came the dad was unseen"
9.5/10
5.Shoulda Known
To me this song is about a guy dating a drug attic girl. It could also be a song about the drug taling about the girl. Anyways it's pretty dope.
"I've got a restraining order Against Satan's daughter And I keep it at the bottom of this Jamison and water And when we get there You can sit there and stare From behind your mascara and your thick hair I'm aware of that pain you harbor The same negative game to the names you martyr"
8.5/10
6.You
This is one of my favorite songs on the cd. I love the beat so much. The song is about a girl working at a restraunt. It really can pertain with working anywhere though. I deal with many of the same shit here at my job.
"You just got off work, huh? Another night feeling like the worst one. You didn't even count your tips yet, But you can tell that it ain't no big step. I don't see why you so nice to customers They're all fucks and low lives. But don't fight, just keep the lip stiff And get that money it's the weekend shift."
10/10
7.Painting
This track is talking about regretting the past. Theres nothing you can ever do to change what happened. Its still gonna stay there in the back of your mind even after you try to forget it. Great song, great story telling. I love how he begins each verse with"Ain't no colour paint gonna cover the stains."
"Ain't no colour paint gonna cover the stains The pictures on the wall will all remain And even though he's home now sounding safe Surrounded by the faces that he place his faith"
9.5/10
8.Your Glasshouse
This song is about waking up somewhere unfamilar with a hangover. Another really great song.
"How'd ya get from the bar to this matress, and when ya got here then what happened? And where's the who that lives here in this house wanna figure out how'd ya get here But the though got cut by nature find the bathroom the gut got anger Here it comes can't avoid it ain't the first time throwin up in this strange toilet Anyone else would leave but you crawled back to the bed and fell back asleep"
9.5/10
9.Yesterday
This is my favorite song. It's about Slug thinking he saw someone he knew the other day. I'm not gonna spoil who it actually is so listen to the song.
"And when you left, I didn't see it comin' I guess I slept, it ain't like you was runnin' You crept out the front door slow And I was so self-absorbed I didn't even know And by the time I looked up it was booked up Put it all behind you, the bad and the good stuff"
10/10
10.Guarentees
This song is about dealing with the stress of Job and trying to make enough for your family.
"My cup ain't close to filled up We trying to build up so we can have enough And when I finally get the color There won't be nothing left to paint on My friend tried to kill himself to the same song"
9/10
11.Me
This song is about Slug's life growing up. Great song and great storytelling once again.
"Started noticing girls, but they wouldn't pay him any mind And if they ever did, he got nervous You shoulda seen him practice on his hand for his first kiss Even though he was too young to hunt and gather Hungry puppy had to learn how to front and swagger"
9/10
12.Wild Wild Horses
This is about loving a girl and not having the love returned. This song has one of my favorite Chorus' on the cd.
"everything is all i have to give you and im afraid it aint enough and your not so young that you believe me just because i say its love and even if they come to steal you tomorrow i'll know my smile was yours go ahead and chase your dreams and your freedom run run wild wild horses you cant tame these horses you cant tame these horses no you cant tame these horses you cant tame these horses"
9.5/10
13.Can't Break
This song is about peer pressure and not being able to stray away from it.
"If they buy it for you how you not gonna drink it? If they fry it for you how you not gonna eat it? If they throw it to you how you not gonna hold it? Touch it taste it love it and f**k with it a moment?"
8/10.
14.The Waitress
This song is about a guy who likes this waitress. Another great story telling track. This song also has a nice twist at the end.
"You're angry with your life, not a stranger to the fight I bet you hate every man that you date And you're probably addicted to all types of escape You take it out on me that you're all alone When you know you got your own closet full of hollow bones Watch the tone when you speak to old folks I'm grown, just trying to get out of this Minnesota cold."
9/10
15.In Her Music Box
This song is about Slug's daughter. Really great song to end the album.
"She had a bad dream in the back seat The same one as yesterday, the same one as last week Surrounded by her favorite favorites, Elmo, barbie, her purple baby blanket And that little match box looks just like dads car It's fast on the lever, pretends it's nascar It jumps over elmo cause it can fly that far With daddy in the front seat frontin' like a rapstar"
9.5/10
Overall this is a great album. I love albums with tons of story telling. It really keeps you interested through each listen. I really need to listen to some more Atmosphere. Anyone have any recoomendations on what cd I should listen to next?
As you already know, I've been constantly bumping J.R. Writer - Cinecrack this week. So the single of the week is going to be my favorite song from his new cd.
