Single of the Week # 12

This weeks single is a new freestyle from Obie Trice over Jay-Z's PSA beat. Shit is pretty dope. Check it out. Some other dude is on it but it doesn't say his name. Sorry I'm late, I've been working my ass off all weekend.

Music Video Weekly # 16

The music video this week is from Talib Kweli's album Reflection Eternal. This is an amazing album and I've been listening to it all week. For a while I stopped listening to Kweli but I don't know why. I also still haven't heard Ear Drum. Crazy huh? Anyways this has always been one of my favorite Kweli songs, and the beat is crazy! Hope you enjoy.

Music Video Weekly # 15

This weeks music video is from Dipset's second group album Diplomatic Immunity Vol. 2. Juelz Santana is on the song and he kills it. I remember being disappointed that this wasn't on his 2nd album. It would have been cool to see Cam get on a remix or something. Lately there have been rumors of a dipset reunion. This would be the best thing ever for this group that seems to be falling of the face of the earth with all their feuds. I will spaz the day I hear another Cam and Juelz track.

Music Video Weekly # 14

The music video of the week is one of my favorite songs from Juvenile. Last night while trying to decide what video to put up today, this came to mind immediately.
He had so many hit singles off Juve the Great. I can't believe I haven't heard it. I definitely need to check it out. This beginning of this video kinda reminds me of Obie Trice's video "The Setup."

Single of the Week #9

This week single is a track from the new Hip Hop Super-Group known as Slaughterhouse. Slaughterhouse is composed of: Joe Budden, Royce Da 5'9", Crooked I, and Joell Ortiz.
This song is absolutely amazing. To me Joell and Crook are tied for the best verse.

My President Is Black!

Obama won! In celebration I present you with the best track about Obama.

Young Jeezy - My President (feat. Nas)

"My President is Black, my lambos blue and i'll be damned if my rims ain't too!"

Music Video Weekly # 13

This is hands down my favorite Mobb Deep song. This song right here got me into the best duo in rap. I didn't really start listening to rap until around 01 or 02, but I remember catching this joint on rap city and loving how each dude in this group delivered their lyrics. Amerikaz Nightmare was an amazing cd and should have sold way better than it did. Poor sales weren't due to a lackluster album, it was due to the Jive not knowing how to promote a legendary rap group. Havoc and Alchemist handled most of the production on this album which resulted in a cd filled with dark and grimey beats. I loved the concept of this video, it was a shame the sequel video, "Real Gangstaz" wasn't anywhere as decent.

Mobb Deep - Got It Twisted

"Ya’ll get down we gonna clash prob'ly
Peel snowflake out of the abercrombie
I’m tryin to rip Britney so I made Jive sign me" - Havoc

"This is P talking show you where I live
You come right to my crib and get a fo shizz
There'll be manslaughter right in front of my kids
A little blood get on my daughter, that’s nothing she'll live" - Prodigy
